The vehicle identification number (also known as the VIN or frame number) is a 17-digit number stamped on the right side of the frame. At this same location is the VIN compliance label.

When you take delivery of your scooter, check that the VIN stamped on your scooter and imprinted on the label is the same as the VIN listed in the bill-of-sale and the warranty documents you received from your dealer.

Keys

Your Xciting scooter is supplied with four keys: two identical ignition switch keys 1 and two identical shutter keys 2. The ignition keys operate the ignition switch, the steering lock, the fuel filler cap, and are used to open the seat to gain access to the center compartment. The shutter keys are used to open the security shutter that covers the ignition switch. Your KYMCO scooter is equipped with this security shutter to minimize vandalism and theft.

Keys

Both pairs of keys have a unique code that is stamped on the tabs supplied with the keys. This code is not stamped on the scooter and is not recorded in the vehicle's basic documentation for security reasons. Since the codes are required if you need replacement keys, record these important codes in the boxes provided on the inside, rear cover of this Owner's Manual.
